Ways we help animals and the people who love them

From adoptions to spay/neuter to keeping families together, our programs meet animals — and neighbors — wherever they are.

Adopt a Pet

Meet adoptable dogs and cats who are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Our adoption counselors take time to understand your home and lifestyle so every match has the best chance of lasting a lifetime.

Foster Program

Fostering saves two lives — the animal you welcome and the next one we can take in because of the space you opened. We cover food, supplies, and medical care; you provide the couch, the patience, and the love. Stays range from a weekend to a few weeks.

Community Vet & Spay/Neuter Clinic

Our low-cost community clinic offers spay/neuter surgery, core vaccines, and microchipping to San Diego pet owners — keeping animals healthy and helping end the cycle of unwanted litters. Sliding-scale pricing keeps essential care within reach.

Owner-Surrender Support

Sometimes keeping a pet feels impossible. Before you surrender, talk to us — we offer behavior resources, temporary foster, and pet-food assistance that often lets families stay together. When rehoming truly is best, we make the transition gentle and judgment-free.

Community Cats & TNR

Our Trap-Neuter-Return program humanely traps free-roaming cats, spays or neuters them, vaccinates, ear-tips, and returns them to their colony — stabilizing populations the kind way. We also place friendly strays and socializable kittens into adoption.

How adoption works

Three simple steps to bring someone home

  1. 1

    Meet & greet

Visit an adoption event or book a time to meet a pet you have your eye on. We will help you find the right fit.

  2. 2

    Application

Fill out a short application so our counselors can match the animal to your home and lifestyle.

  3. 3

    Welcome home

Finalize the adoption, get post-adoption support, and start your life together. We are here if you need us.
